Xiya D is a songwriter, singer, and rapper living in Houston, Texas. She has been writing lyrics since elementary. Still, in 2020 she decided to share her verses on social media for the first time. Xiya D’s debut music project Thankful Carols released in the fall of 2021. The multi-genre Thanksgiving EP was featured on dozens of domestic and international radio stations. Her work was also featured on the TV News broadcast “Valley Por Vida” where she discussed the importance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

In early, 2022 two of Xiya D’s songs received Honorable Mentions in the 38th Mid – Atlantic Song contest in two different categories. In 2023, Xiya D released A Count A Bull and Black Women Stand to begin promoting her second EP Intake Interview which will be released this summer. Outside of music, Xiya D is a graduate student studying psychology. When she isn’t making music or doing homework, she is cracking corny jokes and playing board games with her friends and family.
